Horizon Sea

A two-bedroom apartment a few metres from the beach. The stage of the works nobody usually shows: masking tape, laser level, cabinets being installed.

What is being done

Between the design and the finished home there are weeks of works.

Full interior design: electrics and lighting, painting, wallpaper, blackout curtains, skirting, rugs, the entrance hall and bespoke joinery, with a child's bedroom drawn piece by piece, from the bunk bed to the desk and the wardrobe.

The owners are not here during the works. Site visits, receiving the material, measurements with suppliers and coordinating who comes in and when are ours. Every visit is recorded and sent, so they can follow without being here.

Thirty seconds of works, filmed by us during painting and the kitchen installation. Starts indoors, in the bedroom, and ends on the balcony over the beach.

It is not a pretty video. It is the part of the work that decides whether the home ends up as it was in the 3D.

Bespoke joinery

The bunk bed with guard rail and removable ladder, the drawers underneath with no protruding handles, the desk with hidden cable routing, the wardrobe to the ceiling. Every dimension was checked on site before the maker began. When the works finish, the photographs go here.
